Police appeal for witnesses
Police are appealing for witnesses of a collision between a cyclist and a car on the A39, Box’s Shop, Bude, during which the cyclist sustained serious injuries.
The incident occurred at around 2.55pm yesterday afternoon, Sunday 8 September.
Paramedics, including an off duty surgeon, gave the cyclist, a man in his 70s, emergency care at the scene and he was subsequently flown to Derriford Hospital for treatment for life threatening/changing injuries.
Specialist officers from the Roads Policing Strategic Alliance carried out extensive investigations, which involved closing the road for several hours.
Officers spoke to a number of witnesses but police are keen to hear from anyone else who witnessed the incident or has dash camera footage which might assist them in their investigations.
