Appeal after serious assault - Redruth

Witnesses sought by police

Police are appealing for witnesses to an assault in Redruth which left a man with a fractured jaw.

The 35-year-old local man was found seriously injured on the pavement in Falmouth Road around 10.30pm on Wednesday 19 August.

It is believed that he had been punched several times by another man in an unprovoked attack. He was taken to Treliske Hospital to be treated for his injuries.

Police are investigating and seeking a suspect who is described as white, aged in his 20s or 30s, around 5ft 10ins tall, and of stocky build. He was believed to be bare chested and had distinctive tattoos on his right arm.

Officers are seeking witnesses and are keen to speak with anyone who was in the Falmouth Road area between 10.15pm and 10.45pm on the night of the offence.

They would also like to hear from anyone who may possess CCTV footage or relevant dash cam footage from the area that night.
