Police are appealing for witnesses after a robbery at a remote garage in the Fiddlers Green area of St Newlyn East between 8.15pm and 9.20pm on Friday 21 August.

The male victim, aged in his 40s, was the subject of a serious attack by two men wearing balaclavas and armed with a machete and iron bar.

He suffered severe facial injuries and required hospital treatment. Some £300 in cash was stolen.

The victim managed to make his way to a nearby house to get help and recalls a white estate car swerving to avoid him in the road.

Detective Constable Emma Sandry said: “I am keen to hear from anyone who was visiting the Fiddlers Green area on the evening in question, particularly those that have dash-cameras.”

Both suspects are described as being white males, aged between 30 and 40, around 6ft in height and of average build. They were wearing dark clothing.
