Witness Appeal to Stabbing

Shortly after 2pm on the afternoon of Monday the 16th March, officers responded to a report of a serious assault on Cardell Road, near to Bodmin Jail. Two males were arrested shortly afterwards and both were taken to Newquay Custody. They have been interviewed and subsequently released under investigation. A male aged in his late 20's was treated at hospital for injuries which are described as non-serious and non-life threatening. He has since been discharged from hospital.
The police would like to hear from anyone who either witnessed the altercation outside the jail on Cardell Road at around 2pm, or anyone who has any information that might assist police with their enquiries. Inspector James Honeywill added "Incidents like this can cause concern amongst members of the public. We would like to reassure the community that this appears to be an isolated incident and we have no reason to suspect that other members of the public are at risk in connection with it"
