Critical injury collision - Paignton

One man with life-threatening injuries
Police were called at around 10.45pm on Sunday 13 October to reports of a collision involving a car and a pedestrian on the A3022 Brixham Road, Paignton.
Emergency services attended the scene, situated between Borough road and the Tweenaway junction.
A 23-year-old man, local to the area, sustained life-threatening injuries and was taken to Torbay hospital, where he remains in a critical but stable condition. His next of kin have been informed.
The occupants of the car were uninjured.
A 26-year-old woman, from Totnes, was arrested on suspicion of driving whilst unfit through drugs. She remains in police custody at this time.
Local Police Officers and Specialist officers from the Roads Policing Team and Armed Response Unit attended the scene, closed the road and launched a full forensic examination.
Police are requesting that any witnesses with any information and or dash camera footage are to please come forward, unless they have already been in contact with officers at the scene.
Anyone who witnessed the incident and anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101 quoting log 861 of 13 October.
