Information sent on behalf of Devon and Cornwall Police

Police appealing for witnesses
Officers in North Devon have launched an investigation following a stabbing over the weekend.
Police and ambulance were called to the carpark of the McDonald’s restaurant on Whiddon Valley, Barnstaple at around 2:15am on Sunday 6 October following reports of an altercation.
Upon arrival, it was established that man in his 40s from Hampshire had sustained a stab wound to his arm that was described as serious but not life threatening.
A second man in his 20s from Barnstaple had also sustained a minor, superficial wound to his arm and was treated locally.
The suspect in this matter remains at large and police efforts continue to locate and apprehend.
Police enquiries indicated that there was an incident within the restaurant an hour or so earlier in which criminal damage was caused; officers are currently of the belief that these incidents are linked.
Police are appealing for witnesses and would like to hear from anyone who was in the area from around midnight.
Anyone with any information that could aid with the investigation is asked to email 101@dc.police.uk quoting crime reference CR/090373/19.
You can also give information anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
